Travelling the world is experiencing different cultures and see new things. Thanks to the art of Internet street has become a global phenomenon, which means that in almost all major cities around the world will see some amazing pieces.
When you visit a new city for the first time can be difficult to know where to start looking for the best places for street art. To help plan your next journey we all have put together a brief guide to find street art in some of our favorite cities around the world.
LA
Much of Banksy's film, Exit Through the Gift Shop was established in Los Angeles as the film crew followed Mr. brainwashing in preparation for his first exhibition.
LA has long been home to famous artists so it's no surprise that people like Shepard Fairey call Los Angeles home. The Los Angeles County Museum of Modern Art is a great place to start any visit to the city. The museum is known as one of the galleries more visionary in the world and regularly exhibits works by local artists.
Out on the street is where you will see the most interesting street art today. Thanks Shepard Fairey and cooperation, tons of logos and posters Obey can be seen throughout the city. Plus there's a lot of Banksy's famous places in the city. Some of the best areas to visit are North La Brea Avenue and Beverly Boulevard.
Berlin
When Berlin was a divided city, the western part of the Berlin wall covering was covered with graffiti. Now, more than twenty years since the wall was torn down, street performers from all over the city have invaded the eastern part to create a haven of street art.
Some of the more popular neighborhoods include street art Mitte and Kreuzberg, which often You can see the work of artists like Alias and Xoooox. No trip to Berlin would be complete without a visit to the famous East Side Gallery. The famous gallery outdoor exists in a remaining section of the Berlin Wall and has a constantly changing display of paintings and colorful murals.
New York
City modern graffiti originated in New York during the 80 so the city has a strong relationship with the street art as it is developed through the 90's and 00s.
Some of the best places to see on any visit are the trendy Soho and the Lower East Side, where you can see works artists like Judith Supine and C215.
Williamsberg is another great area to visit, while the search for points of street art. The area has been closely compared to Shoreditch in London by the number of artists and creative people who call the home district.
London
London is full of street art, but areas such as Shoreditch and Hoxton in the East End are crowded with interesting and unique pieces in almost every corner.
Although originally from Bristol many of the famous Banksy pieces can be found in London. Other artists such as Ben Eine have parts scattered throughout the entire city, but again a large majority of his work is in the East End.
There are tour guides who can take you on trips street art around the city to see some of the most famous and popular exhibitions in the capital. If you are unfamiliar or new to the city these trips can be a great way to find some really interesting sites and places. However, if you have visited London before walking by itself can mean finding new pieces that have just spent the previous night!
