Commercial use? (Graphic Design)?
Many times, I can download fonts / textures / brushes online. Most of them are free for personal use. I'm expanding my graphic sideline, and I'm not taking a job in restaurants and stuff. If I use my resources downloaded in poster ads and therefore are paid a fee, which is the commercial, right? If not, then what is commercial use? If so, then why should I do with my resources? Do I just email them asking for permission to use them? What if it takes some kind of compensation monetary? I am not connected to Paypal or anything, I have a credit card. And in any case, my fee is almost as symbolic gifts, I really have no fees, and it is only a secondary activity. I do not know what to do. Not want to get into trouble or anything, or charged with art theft. I could credit my website portfolio but that's all I can do. Any advice from veteran graphic designers would be very useful, as are information resources and materials used. Thanks!
It is almost impossible to identify a source so if you are using some free fonts that do not worry. As for the graphics are going to lift and they could get into trouble. This is a small world would be surprised to see your work. Just build the cost of the graph in its bid. We use Fotolia and Dreamstime and are 05.01 per photo. Do not buy until they are approved. Just save the watermarked image on the website and use that. Will be grainy, but good enough for a customer to sign if that's the picture you want. Finally many statements about "commercial" was used so that people do not collect and sell their images as part of a collection. You have to read the fine print. Using photography site is the safest and the reality is not so expensive. Have been achieved and release forms NECC taken care of for you.
