Digital Art Photoshop Tricks

What version of Photoshop should I get?

I'm pretty experienced with PS and I wonder which version would best suit my needs. Basically, the only way PS I received was one that I have Elements 3 free with my graphics tablet. I realize that the most photo-enhancing and small tweaks and so on and it was a great help to me since I initially wanted PS to do some digital art. But what did the trick, more or less, but I had settle free ink pen tool and struggle with the brush tool. >. <Needless to say, Ctrl + Z was widely used in excess, when I called. Basically, Now, I wonder which version of PS that best suits me. I would like to use PS to make digital art (anime style and normal), and some of photo editing, when I want. Thanks. = 3

I still use CS2, magnificent. most will say cs4 with all the advances, but I think it is too confusing.
