Why my pencil sketches always out of scale? (Animals, photos included)?
I have never attended any art class or learn some technique drawing. So do not laugh. These are the sketches for me recently. I think they look a bit strange – the legs are too long, head too small, etc. As compared with the original photo (from National Geographic magazine) side by side, my drawings really looked bad. I am a student of science and only boredom began to sketch a few months ago. Until now, the leopard is my work finished 10th. I love animals so animals Sketch:) Thanks for any comments http://www! I really liked the rabbit and the frog, and I'm very picky about the people of art! It is difficult to explain the perspective in one or two paragraphs here. I can tell you that the copy photographs in two dimensions to a two-dimensional drawing can be quite flat. Your pencil strokes and strokes its shadow is pretty good. You already show a good understanding of shadow pencil, pencil strokes, and from light heavy shade. One way to show more depth a drawing is to capture a little stronger tone on the foreground and a lighter shade on the bottom. What I mean is, all the tones in the subject closest you will have stronger, more defined tone – black is black and the lines will be heavier. All the background tone will be lighter in parts of the object away from you, so for example, the leopard. The head and face of the leopard must have the most definition of light and darkness. Lines outlining the leopard's head and face directly below the tree branches must have the strongest, darkest, and most of the sharp lines – more thicker and darker. All shades of black in the leopard's head and face should be as black as you can do with a pencil. The center of the body of the leopard and the branch in the body must have fine lines and tones to be lighter than the tail of the leopard to be lighter and has the thinnest of lines. A difficult and challenging study Drawing is a very round ball with a light source on it. You sit in a dark room and light on a round ball and try to capture the shadow of the best possible way. (I was very I take it, so I switched to textile art and craft because it was difficult to develop strong drawing skills.) It's really a challenge to match the various shades of lighter color to darker! But to gain depth in a two-dimensional drawing, is one of the best studies you can work on your own. Second place would find many items for the models – Ever wonder why artists make a big deal about "still life" drawings and paintings? Each still life is a study of light, shadow, and tone in an inanimate object that fortunately remains strong while the lighting control and taking the time to do their studies. And do not quit just a drawing of the object, either! Make 10 or 20 of the same object at different times from different angles, and forget the object itself and only look at the light and shadow. Some artists for years focused on nothing but light and shadow. Treat this like a science experiment and take time to develop their interest. If you leave only for a couple of pictures bad as I did, never will improve. Give yourself time and a huge block of 100 sheets of drawing paper and work with different themes, 2-5 drawings on the same subject, until you start to see for himself improvement. You really have talent. If you do not have time to take a class art, perhaps a summer school drawing class would give at least some time in the study. Or an adult night school class at school at least give youâ break of their regular studies. But do not quit just because the drawings of one or two bad! Work on different pictures, until they start to leave as we wanted. It takes time and practice to be really good, a drawing, not an artist, you know.
